Weight Gain

I rarely weigh myself.. but decided to tosay and noticed i gained 6 pounds. My eating habits havent changed, i go to the gym daily.. routine posted previously. It is the week before my period . but still this is a piss off.. Any ideas.. i really hope most of it is water weight..

If you are lifting weights then you probably gained muscle and like you said about your period, you can gain water weight I gain about 5-6 pounds when I have mine so don't worry... What does your diet look like???

It is MOST likely water weight.

Is the 6lb gain from the weight you were before you started lifting? If so, it is probably 95% muscle, 5% water retention form your period. :)

How are the clothes fitting? :)
 
My deit suks.. would luv a better one, but not sure where to start


As soon as i get up i take a mulitamin, iron, vitmin c, 32mg of ephdrine, 1 caffeine pill, 1 aspirin, 1 flaxseed oil pill

Usually i hav a bagel


Lunch - not much

Dinner - pasta, veggies some times chicken, porkchops..



As i said before i need major work on my diet!!!

If you see a change next week in your weight (meaning dropping), then I'd agree its water retention. Outside of that, yea the diet isn't helping ...
 
Then help me with my diet please. i will eat tuna, i will eat chicken, i will eat lima beans.. anything!!

By your diet, your body is likely trying to hang on to every calorie your eating. You need to eat more often to let your body know that food is plentiful and there is no need for storing calories (i.e. fat).

I would ask some of the very knowledgeable folks on this board to help you with your diet. A good read would be some of Daisy's stickys (are they still around).

Eating less to lose weight is the WORST thing you can do. It seems counter-intuitive, but believe me, eat more smaller meals ("graze") and you'll get what you want (eat a minimum of 5 times a day preferrably 6-8 times and DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT, skip breakfast!). This will speed up your metabolism, and combined with excersise, you will lose weight, gain muscle tone, and generally look, feel, and fuck better.
 
Break fast is the only meal i always eat.. i actually don't want to gain or lose weight.. 128-132lb is good with me.. it just this jump to 142 so suddenly has freaked me out
 
your diet sucks...im sorry but it does....instead of the bagel (what kind?? With what???)u should have sumthing liek oatmeal which tkaes longer to digest....adn u must u must eat lunch....ur going from breakfast to dinner without much or any food, and ur metabolism is slowing down during this time....so by the time u eat dinner ur body is going to actually hold out to this food...cause its not being fed regulary...u need to eat at least every 3 hours, it keeps u insulin levels normal...and ur body wont feel deprived. Also the caffiene pill isnt a good idea...because if u take it everyday....ur body is going to get used to it, and soon ur metabolism is going to depend on it...so ya if ur going to take caffiene pills dont do it every single day for months..or weeks at time...u also need to add some more protein, and good fats to ur diet...eat ur carbs "COMPLEX CARBS" in the morning...adn eat carbs in the form of vegetables at night......also how long have u had ur excercise routine??? dont worry bout he weight gain though cause its natuarl to gain 5+ lbs during ur tiem of the month...good luck
