I thought he was down to his last year on his contract?

I agree, I don't think he'll wrestle again. He's said enough negative things about the WWF that I don't think he'll sign.

Well when did WCW go off the air? I believe it was a year ago. Goldberg signed a 3 year deal just before that. I think January. Man they were so good at running things at WCW. It's hard to believe they went out of business.
