Wannabebig going down the toilet

I have just received an infraction on wannabebig for criticizing the pullup article they are ramming down people's throats. This is my post in quotes and the p.m. I have received telling me I have just received an infraction :-

If you are talking about building up your chinups and pullups I would think there are better articles than Craig Weller's (no disrespect). You cannot have n00bs doing weighted chins on week 2 even if they completed 25 singles. There are articles like greasing the groove and others with tables you can slot your own effort and you are given a progression chart.

The other day on wannabebig some super mod not even a mod did not know why a n00b should not design his own program and why I recommended he was better off on Starting Strength. Why do forums go down the toilet like this? What sort of program has n00bs doing weighted chinups the second week after just starting a pullup/chinup routine?

Aren't there established routines for doing pullups instead of nonsense like that?

Dear n00bster, You have received an infraction at Wanna Be Big Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Forums. Reason: Rule 2 - Trolling ------- Nobody mentioned the pull-up article that you so kindly threw under the bus. Your post seems to be an attempt to stir up trouble. I have deleted your post, feel free to re-post with information that is relevent to the topic. ------- This infraction is worth 200 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.
Perhaps people are expected to kiss ATLarge Nutrition's butt and endorse whatever crappy advise is given by the establishment?

There are established methods for progression to 20 chinups/pullups. Perhaps then some discussion on the merits/demerits should be allowed rather than giving people infractions for disagreeing? Forums are normally there for people to give their viewpoints not to be commercial puppets of AT Large Nutrition.

agtree with gstacker. no comment on the other site. i could care less what another site does. it has nothing to do with this one.

I might get some bashing for this but rippetoes starting strength, 5x5 and the 3x5 arnt always the answer to everything...

There is no program that is the "best" for everyone. Perhaps you can follow the thread and see for yourself othersite/forums/showpost.php?p=2262080&postcount=15 People new to training are better off using something tried and tested than making up an inefficient routine that has imbalances and exercises that injure some n00bs. I would expect someone who knows how a decent programme is structured to know all this much less a bullying super-mod from an un-named site.

they were never intended to be the answer to everything, but they're damn good routines to follow to build a solid foundation. Someone could progress on these programs for years before needing to switch to something else. It also all depends on one's goals.

Secretly, deep down I hope noobs never stumble upon Starting Strength ensuring my position as a monster(at least in my gym)for many years to come.
