Wager your Karma Hits on Events in the new Karma Bookie Forum!

Members, <p>Today, I just added a cool new forum where you can gamble on different events using your Karma Hits. The <a href="http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=86" target="_blank">Karma Bookie Forum</a> works like a sports book where the Bookie can set odds on an event and members can wager on the outcome. Any <a href="http://www.elitefitness.com/reports/platinum/" target="_blank">Platinum Member</a> can be a bookie and all the members can wager on the events.</p> <p>For example, a Karma Bookie (any <a href="http://www.elitefitness.com/reports/platinum/" target="_blank">Platinum Member</a> or Mod) can start an event on the outcome of the Michael Jackson trial. And anyone can wager on the outcome. For example, a Platinum Member would set up the following event.</p> <p><strong>Karma Bookie Event: Wager on the outcome of the Michael Jackson trial.</strong></p> <table width="90%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="1"> <tr> <td><strong>Outcome:</strong></td> <td><strong>Odds</strong></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Michael is innocent.</td> <td>Pays 1 to 1 </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Michael is guilty. </td> <td>Pays 2 to 1 </td> </tr> </table> <p>You can wager up to 1,000 karma hits on either outcome. When the event is up, the Karma Bookie or a Mod will settle the event and everyone who won gets paid. In case you don't know, Karma is the green currency of the Elite Fitness.com Discussion Forums. It looks like this <img src="http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/images/reputation/ltgreen.gif"> and appears next to a member's posts. When you read a post on the forums that you like, take your mouse and touch a member's Karma Ying Yang, the small icon that look like this <img src="http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/images/buttons/reputation.gif">, and let the member know that you approve of his or her posts. You can also leave a little note if you really think the post was helpful. It's a cool way to give props to all the members on the forum. If you dislike a member's post, you can give him "negative Karma" by disapproving of his post when you use your mouse to touch his Ying Yang. <p>The more good Karma you get, from members' clicking on your Ying Yang, along with the number of months you've been on the site combined with your total post count equals how much Karma you'll be able to give to other members when you click their Ying Yangs. A new member may only be able to give 10 karma hits at a time. But a well respected veteran of the boards, with a huge Ying Yang, can perhaps give out 50 karma hits at once or even more! </p> <p>Here's where a Platinum Membership comes in. Hey George, the bookies will hand out the karma anytime after the closing date, correct? My NFL bet says the payout will be after April 22nd at 6:30 but the draft isn't until the next day.
