vascularity question

Hello,

I am a female, 5'7", 125lbs....I am very lean and genetically blessed in that I am naturally very vascular, more so when lifting heavy. My question is this: my vascularity is symmetrical throughout my body, except for my legs! My right leg (front of shin area) has veins popping everywhere, but the left leg has nothing!? Weird...wondering why? Ideas? Thanks!

farrah, your description of the location and asymmetry of the vascularity sounds more like varicose veins than anything else. They tend to effect women more than men and occur far more often in our legs than any other part of the body.

Being particularly lean and otherwise vascular I would think a bit of isolated varicose veins would be all the more prominent. They can (and often are) completely painless and don't necessarily have anything at all to do with not being fit.

Mine are different from one arm to another etc. Some from injuries other have just always been that way.
