I can vouch that both of us were tired and stressed out last night. School (both seniors) and lots of other stress about the weekend had really got to us...lol. Something about a "foam party" and "women in bathing suits" or something...lol.

Speed Bench
225 plus doubled mini bands
8 sets of 3, 45 sec rest between sets
225 x 15 (don't ask...lol)

4 Board Press
315 x 3
348 x 3
365 x 1

Incline Bench Press
315 x 1
225 x 3

Incline Tate Presses
10 sets of 10 with 11 pound dbells, 10 sec rest between sets

Tricep Pushdowns
50 x 12 x 2 sets

Chins
BW x 7 x 2 sets

2" Thick Dbell Rows
80 x 10
130 x 6 right, 3 left

Seated Dbell Curls
45's x 10
65's x 8

It was a fun one...and I am a little sore today...lol.

nice spotting job on bearritos missed attempt.

How's your clean and jerk coming along? I was thinking, maybe you could try doing them with a mini band strapped to your feet and the bar. maybe that would help alot with the jerk part of it.

Also, do you always go that close on speed benches?
 
I wish I could train with you guys, but I live in Oklahoma. I love the setup and the music!!! Awesome videos. . . two big boys training.

Bands tear up my tendons and joints on pressing movements anyway...this session reminded me why I didn't use them anymore...lol. I used to use them on my overhead pressing movements and they only seemed to cause shoulder twinges and injuries...

My widest grip on speed bench is pinky on the ring which is fairly narrow for my size. I work till my pointer is on the smooth then back out again... Triceps are more important than pecs to me...

I am also quite sore after that workout! The chest and shoulders are feeling it. Hope you all enjoyed watching me missing that third rep with 348 on 4 board presses! That's two weeks in a row now that I've done that. I guess I just don't know when to quit. My sets/reps/weight used was similar to b folds. Mine went a little like this


Speed Bench
225 plus doubled mini bands
8 sets of 3, 45 sec rest between sets
225 x 12 or 13 (can't remember exactly)

4 Board Press
315 x 3
337 x 3
348 x 2

Incline Bench Press
225 x 3
225 x 3

Incline Tate Presses
10 sets of 10 with 11 pound dbells, 10 sec rest between sets

Tricep Pushdowns
50 x 12 x 2 sets

Chins
BW x 7 x 2 sets

2" Thick Dbell Rows
80 x 10
130 x couldn't move it, lol

Seated Dbell Curls
45's x 10

Really hoping to improve on some of these numbers. A wrist injury is slowing progress, but hopefully won't stop it completely.
