So last night, high and happy that I got a coveted TA project that fell into my lap through some synchronicity, I was reading this excerpt on language, and it blew me away, cause I've just sensed for awhile with the rise in technology, and how fast the nature of our reality is kinda changing, we are now like living in a cultural atmosphere where simple words and labels can no longer adequately identify our reality. Like how do you explain the internet? Its not a location. Its like asking if space gets wet when it rains, ya know?
So this thought led me to the next one of thinking of songs that I dig on, am unsure of what the content is specifically referring too, but just for some reason, the combination of emotional expression, the backbeat, voice, and overall feel is like inviting, pacifying, and I feel understood or relate to that sound, and am unsure exactly why.
So I started listening to some songs that I grew up with and always felt like really close too, but always unsure why. I will go later, as mine are prodigiously long, but make for good stories. But yeah, the stories that came up, like just revealed so much of me to me. Anyway, post whatever song you dig on are unsure why, or what they mean and we both can have some fun like seeing ourselves reflected through the metaphor of music. Its like a house of mirrors, but the images aren't distorted.
