Two Winny Questions

I know there have been enough posts on Winny, but I just have a couple questions that have been driving me crazy and I can't find a good answer.

1) I have seen several times that females mentioning they bloat when on Winny. I thought Winny was a popular pre-contest drug because it does NOT aromatize. I have never seen that Winny makes males bloat.... Why, if it does not aromatize, would it make females bloat? (I do understand that not everyone bloats on Winny, and that everyone responds differently)

2) Winny can cause joint pain I know. And I also know that not everyone gets joint pain while on Winny. But if you take Winny, is there *anything* you can take with the Winny to minimize or eliminate joint pain? I'm thinking preventative, or proactive, kinda like stopping it before it starts.

Thanks for any opinions or thoughts!

Just a thought from my side, I might be totally off base, dunno :) A lot of times, the joint pain can come from the bloat and I think the people that bloat while on winstrol, do not get in enough water, I think if they would drink at a minimum of 1 gallon a day, they would not have a bloat nor the joint pain. Just a in my opionion :)

pain

hy dg, dont know why joints hurt. temple has some interesting thoughts on that. bg may be right though. while on winni inject i drank a gal/day and had no problems while on but now OMG, my joints are screamin'. i use to be able to do sets-sets i tell you of wide grip /palm out pull ups and now im almost in tears trying to finish only 2. reps not sets. sure hope things get better 'cause im hurtin'. :bawling:

You might do a search on "winny joint pain" on the AS board -- the guys deal w/ this alot and I think they suggest mixing winny w/ dbol or something to deal w/ the joint pain. You might find another non-AS solution to the problem.

I honestly don’t think bloat and joint pain are related at all when it comes to winny. The anecdotal evidence is pretty murky in women, and I’ll wager that the majority of “bloat” seen with winny is due either to menstrual cycle changes, dietary changes, or to blackmarket ‘substitution’ (in other words it’s not really winny). Otherwise I think you’ll find winny can adversely affect your joints by acting as a progesterone antagonist and possibly as a prostaglandin agonist. (I won’t mention placebo effects since I know how much that gets people angry). As a side note, in clinical trials, there has not been any documented fluid retention problems associated with the use of winny in males or females that I know of (I’m always open to edumication). This does not necessarily mean it doesn’t occur, but that it has yet to be seen, even in old folks who are a lot more prone to fluid retention……

Anecdotally I have often thought that the short term effects of winny (ie non-anabolic) include a fluid repartitioning effect rather than an absolute loss of fluid. By this I mean that the muscles seem to hydrate, while interstitial and sub Q fluid seems to reduce. This would nicely explain the relatively quick results some people see with this drug. To put it simply, I think that winny takes fluid from joints and sub cutaneous sources and moves it into muscle stores. This in itself would create a more anabolic environment which is separate from androgenic changes in gene transcription, and gives you immediate “mirror” changes in appearance. This will look like hardening and leaning out in many people.

Stacking with nandrolone may well help with joint complaints. I can’t really see how it would alleviate fluid retention sides!

If anything I think the nandrolone will make you retain more water - at least that has been my experience. Nandrolone will take care of joint problems. I had severe knee pain after winny and after 7 weeks of deca was pain free. One of the things that Arioch told me that I found to be true was to NOT restrict carbs when trying to recover from joint pain as they were a necessary part of the healing process.

I'm currently on Winny IM 50 mg week and I do think I have a bit of bloat. I also have experienced minor joint pain. It's not so bad that it keeps me from doing things but is definitely noticeable, especially when I have not warmed up. I do drink at least 2 gallons of water a day.

I think perhaps, it's more of an individualized thing.
