Two Awesome Compilation Vids

ExtraMile

High End Bro
Platinum
Had these two in my favourites for a long time and just dug them out, thought they were worth posting as they both get my in the mood to lift. Some of the great raw benching in the first video towards the end, very easy reps of 4 and 5 plates!

dont understand how their knees arent destoroyed

give it few years im sure they will be lol

but thats some serious strength

anyone know what they wear around their knees?

lol i find it weird hwo these guys bench more then they squat n deadlift lol, still big mother fukers

lol they dont bench more than they squat, some of those guys squat over 1000lbs. Some of them do bench very close to what they deadlift though and its because by using their benchpress shirts they are so much stronger than if they are lifitng raw, but deadlift suits dont give anywere near as much strength as bench shirts do so often you will see big powerlifters bench almost as much as, or even more than they deadlift.

The world record deadlift is 1008 when the world record bench I think is around 1110 because of that.

but when you look at the raw lifting records, the deadlift record is 938 but the bench record is only 715 so you can see how much the bench shirts help...

The guy that benched 715 raw is one of the biggest baddest motherfuckers around and apparently at one point he was weighing 385 at 6'1 and he aint as fat as some powerlifters either. I saw a video about his diet and he said he eats 12,000 calories a day, sometimes 40 egg whites a day and several lbs of red meat every day!

I think what your talking about around their knees are knee wraps.

wow the bench suites help that much?

dunno if der knee wraps, look kinda different, gotta google it ahaha

single ply is the weakest type of bench shirt, as in it gives the least about of strength. SouthernLord who posts on here trained with a single ply shirt once and said with some practice and working on his technique he could bench almost 100lbs more with the shirt on than he could normally

This is Josh Macmillan benching 749 with his bench shirt on:

And this is him benching 500 without the shirt:

I know that 500 wasnt his raw max but you get the idea

Yeah shirts are some crazy shit they sometimes add 700 pounds+ to people's totals. That's why I like the deadlift you can't add that much to it:)

I have never seen a bench shirt with a 700+ lb carryover.

B-

he said to their totals, meaning their raw total could be 700lbs less than their total when they're all geared up

still 700lbs is a big gain over 3 lifts especially as deadlift often doesnt see that much improvement with a suit...

I've read of people getting 300 on their squats, 300 on their bench, and close to 100 on their deadlifts.

yeah and some people get next to nothing out of their suit, that guy who's bench video i posted gets alot out of this bench suit too, he pulled 700 raw some weeks before a meet and pulled 804 in the meet in his suit! :eek2:

i would love to try deadlifting in a suit :p

i think the suite really assists with the shoulders in balancing of the weight, and keep it in a smooth motion m(almost like a machine would)

which is prob the reason why they are able to bring their bench presses up so high since there shoulder hold the weight so much better

i dotn see the shirt doing alot for ur chest and triceps, maybe im wrong

the bench shirts are so tight making it hard for their arms to come further apart like they do as you lower the bar that some lifters cant actually row the bar to touch their chest because it is so hard to stretch the suit far enough. Because of that when they do pause with the bar on their chest the suit gives them alot of explosive power off the chest and in the first half of the lift but then weakens so they have to put all the effort into the lockout of the lift. That is why so many shirted lifters train with chains and bands because the tension increases as they get closer to lockout, this mimics the way a bench press shirt works
