Training Cube

has anyone try using the cube method of weight training and how did it work out for you. I just started it but I am a newbie at it I just want to make sure I'm doing it the right way. I'm starting out doing 5 sets of 2 and then working my way up to doing a single double or triple. Is this the correct way to do it
 
I did training cube before like start and go up that's good much for me
you should do 5x5 with 2 days of cardio iMO
 
cube method is going super heavy, then doing explosive work, then repetition. really this is going to benefit athletes in sports like football or basketball.
