for the past two and a bit years ive been hitting the gym with the sole aim of getting thin. i was fat and hated it so my single goal was to trim down.

now im getting to the point where i want to bulk up again and start adding some decant mass/strength so im having to totally redo the way im eating and what not and its pretty wierd.

what im looking at doing is still sticking with the 5-7 meals a day but eating a lot more carbs (brown bread, pita, wholemeal pasta) etc and making sure i get all my required protein in every day. plus since ive been going to the gym ive been vegerarian and i just broke vege the other day so im eating tuna and chicken like its going out of fashion.

im just wondering what some good bulking sort of foods/guidelines? ive looked through some or MR X's bulking up guides but they dont look like theyd work for me.

any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

(im 175cms/74kgs from 173cms/89kgs 2 years ago and i know a good part of that is muscle gain because ive been continuously growing out off (getting to small for) my clothes for a while but being stuck on roughly the same weight but its still nothing id write home about)

You need to get started on eating more calories than you burn every day. It's the only way you will gain weight. Calculate how many calories you approximately spend every day and then add 500 or more for bulking. Go for a ratio of 30% protein, 55% carbs and 15% fats of your daily calories. I think you will gain a lot and fast since you body has been used to dieting for a while. Eat 250+ grams of protein, healthy complex carbs and healthy fats.

instead of a 180, I suggest walking backwards!! This will save time spent turning!!!
