What week are you plaining on coming? There is a ton of stuff to do here in the summer.
The Docks and Guverment are good bars for the summertime, Docks is right on the waterfront, Guverment has a rooftop patio.. but it depends what music you're in to.
I can suggest places to stay/go if you tell me a bit more about what you're looking for.
What do you like to do? Sports/art/culture/science etc..
Tip: Don't wear that shirt on Church Street...

Is the Phantom still there? I would want to somke pot, drink heavy beer, and listen to good Music. What would you suggest?

If would have came last summer you could have smoked pot anywhere in the city. Sadly that law has changed.

Really? It used to be decriminalized. Is it still? What was the law and what is it now? Even though I'm on the fence with legalizing another drug, I fail to see how putting people in jail for smoking a weed is any different then drinking or smoking ciggs. All are probably bad for you but the hypocrasy is numbing.

Yes it was decriminalized in small amounts but our Supreme court changed it back in the fall.
It is however legal for From Zorro to come down here and marry his lover. I suggest doing that the long weekend in July. Get all your pride weekend fun in as well a marry your soul mate.

4. I am from New Jersey
5. Looking to party.. have fun.. see sites.. Maybe take the bus trip to Niagra Falls just because Im sure Ill never go there alone.. Little special love for all those who helped =)

I dunno what the heck is considered midtown. There is downtown, uptown and the rest is the shitty burbs.
Docks is the best on Sunday afternoon. IMO

Toronto is great, if you like feeling you're in Beijing or New Delhi.
Experience *real* Canada. Go to PEI or Calgary or Cottage Country or Montreal. Anyone can go to a big traffic-plagued city full of foreigners, crime and corporate landscaping. Toronto is over-rated. The *real* Canada is leaving all that big city junk behind and experiencing things you don't see in the US.

compared to traffic in cali and NY etc, Toronto is nothing. I live right by Yorkville (downtown toronto shopping district) and love it. Summers in TO are amazing, bars are packed and nightlife is amazing.. always fun to be had. Id recommend getting a hotel in my area.. lots of good shopping, upscale, and close to everything
