I have wondered this for a while and maybe someone can explain it to me. I don't mean this in a condescending manner I just want to understand.

Okay her goes: I can somewhat understand if a guy likes guys cause of their attributes of being a guy.....muscles, hardness and so like rmurf62 said. I can also understand why women like other women for the attributes that make them women, soft,
curves, beauty. WHY???? are homesexual guys
attracted to transvestites or very effeminate men.....or women to

I think there are a number of misconceptions here.

1. There are many lesbians who are VERY sexy and feminine. Those that go for the butch dykes? Maybe only a few, but they are the most obvious and noticable ones.
2. Transvestites are not necessary gay.
3. Gay guys going for the effeminate types? Again maybe a minority but certainly the most obvious (So are the drags!). Most gay guys I know prefer masculine men. After all they're gay because they like MEN!

Ripped Boy is right on- Real straight guys (not the ones running around screaming to everyone who'll listen that they're straight)are secure in their sexuality and not afraid they'll slip up and wind up with a dick in their mouths.Gay guys don't offer any kind of threat to a guy who's truly hetero.

First of all, transvestites are mainly heterosexual men who fetishize the wearing of women's clothes. Being heterosexual, they are typically not attracted to gay men and gay men are not as a rule attracted to them. Indeed, the primary sexual gratification of transvestites is dressing up.

A drag queen often IS a gay man who dresses up to perform. Being gay, they are attracted to other men and some gay men, especially those into gender bending, find them attractive. Typically, they are also pursued by bisexual men. But their clothing is not usually central to their sexual gratification.

The conflation of effeminacy and homosexuality is quite recent. Anyone living in the South knows you can go into small towns and find all manner of girly men who are straight. (You can look at Ashely's character in Gone With the Wind as an example.) So, you might as well ask why women find effeminate men attractive.

Basically your question comes down to why anyone finds ANYONE or ANYTHING sexually appealing. What does it matter? I'm not interested in your foot fetish. You're not interested in my taste for sodomy. He's not interested in S&M. She's not interested in bondage. They're not interested in oral sex.

Why does anyone care enough about how other people love and get pleasure to make it a reason to exclude anyone?

Lessee...everybody's got a different thing that gets them all hot 'n bothered. I've been to a few "tranny" bars, and they get a small crowd of VERY straight-appearing boys. These guys won't give gay men in the bar the time of day, but are spending lots of time chatting the transvestites up. So, some boys are into girls with a dick (e.g., Eddie Murphy). I've been around some lesbians who strongly split up into butch-femme relationships - one's definitely playing the mommy, one's definitely playing the daddy. I don't think either group represents the general interest of gay men/women, but they are out there.

There's also plenty of gay men who are really, really emphatic about their need to hookup with "straight acting and appearing" ONLY (no fats, no fems, etc. etc. etc.). And, I must admit, I'm more emotionally interested in a guy if he's "straight acting and appearing". So, we've all got different tastes.
