Tip for thawing chicken / other meats

Recently discovered a cool way to thaw out almost any completely frozen meat in about 15 mins. First freeze the meat inside of a ziplock bag. Then just put the bag in to some hot water (not boiling), and the meat will thaw rather quickly. This saves me a ton of time, and it is easier to grill food on the fly instead of making it all in one day. Hope this helps.....

good call, yea luke warm water is better. Btw why do they call it "luke" warm, instead of just warm water. lol

you dont need to use a ziplock bag
being a student i just get chicken breast, drop in hot water, leave for a while then cook.

i have not given myself food poisoning once even though i have been told by many girls that you shouldnt put chicken in hot water to defrost :D

and this post does relate to anabolics, because unlike in the UK all US animals are juiced up :)

it neva occured to me that i would want to use one :p
putting the chicken in the bag would be another stage in the already complicated task of cooking food :D

maybe i'll invest in some ziplock bags next time i go shopping

Best way to defrost things is to use your setting on your microwave. less chance of bacteria build up. Thanks!

I dont know about that. But I've got an excellent recipe for a scrumptious meatloaf. Anyone want to get together and trade recipes?
