Time Out...is there anyway of retaining gains?

I am due to have surgery in August which will keep me out of the gym - other than walking on treadmill for 6 weeks at least.

I'm on VAR at the moment so am I best to stop taking whilst out of the gymn?

IS there anything I can do / take that would help me retain the gains I have made whilst I am forced to stay away from the gym.

It is worrying me senseless so if any of you have any ideas they would be greatly received.

I will maintain the pre contest diet that I am currently following to ensure no gains in that department.

When I had surgery last year I was out for 6 weeks same as you just light cardio. What I did was keep my diet very tight higher end or protien lower fat moderate carbs. I know I lost some muscle but it was nothing significant I did gain it back and then some after I was able to get back at it. That was the longest break I had taken from training in 6 years it actually did my body a lot of good.

high protien,
will you be able to lunges and squats at home with just your body weight?

dont know what surgery you getting , around christmas a girl my wife and i know got implants
she was in the gym 5 days later. It was a small incision around the nipple. she had swelling and all that she wore a special compression vest , she still came to the gym and did leg extentions, standing free motion hamstring curls , calve raises , bicep curls in strict form all with little weight. her hubby was/is with her all the time they train together so she kinda just tagged along and did what she could id say one month later she was doing everything except flat bench and direct chest work.

Her implants were above the muscle , if a girl gets them under the muscle I am sure it will take much longer to heal

I got above the muscle last year and I followed Dr. orders 6 weeks zero lifting why pay $7500 for a surgery your going to ruin by not following Dr. orders. I know a girl that has one boob the points outward cause she didn't follow Dr. orders regarding limiting physical activity.

Every doctor has diff orders
Breast implant surgery: what to expect afterwards, what happens afterwards
this doctor says in as little as two weeks 2 four weeks a person can return to excersizing.

I am not a doctor superqt, but not all doctors are gonna tell you to wait 6 weeks , so dont think your doctor is the " know all " when it comes to breast implants. Clearance time is 2 weeks to return to normal activities some people heal quicker then others , some bruise and swell very eazy may take longer to heal

many girls get implants they follow doctors order and the implants still do not sit even or look symetrical , just the way it is.

was it good to wait 6 weeks sure it was , still does not garantee the implants will turn out symetrical.

It takes years of " settling " for the breast implants to sit in their final location. A high percent of the time the implants do not line up , sit to far apart , sit uneven.
