The odds are that they will be able to invoke time travel in the microsecond range and maybe a little longer on the molecular basis, going forward forward ONLY....ie, into the future, from the point the mechanism is activated....Timne travel back into time from the current has been proven to be impossible.....

If time travel were indeed possiable, it would mean there were serveral dimensions. That being the case we should have already met someone from the future.

That being said, we may have met that person and not beleived them, they may be changing stuff right now to change their own future. Now if you think of the butterfly effect, if a person went back in time they could sneeze and it could cause them not to be born...in which case they never really traveled back in time in the first place. The whole thing kind of gets a bit complicated.
