Things are probably going to get messy with my parents...

So my fiance is going to be moving up here with me finally (she's in texas, I'm in VA), and I told my parents this, and THEY WERE TRIPPING. Here's how the conversation went:

Them: "Soooo where's she gonna live?"
Me: "In my apartment..."

Them: "So where's she gonna sleep??"
Me: "uhmmmm in my bed...."

Them: "So where are YOU going to sleep??????"
Me: "In my bed....."

Them: "THAT IS A SIN!!! SIN!! BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH CHRISTIAN BRAINWASHED BS BLAH BLAH BLAH"
Me: "............" (under my breath "god $#%4 f$#%ing stupid parents...")

So it wasn't too bad today, I managed to smooth it over a bit... but its gonna come up again, I know it.... suggestions??

ok i have never met your parents... but i would say to them, whats more of a sin... her shareing a bed with me ? or me banging her every night of the week for the past 6 months ?? lol, na only joking tell them to back off because its your life, and you are mature enough to make up your on mind on whats right and wronge about pre marage sex!

my wife loves va she wanted to move there and still would like to.she went there to see me when i was at fort lee and she fell in love with the place.

I used to live in texas, but i'm stationed in VA right now. My parents are pretty hardcore christians, non-denominational with all the damned tele-evangelism and crap. Yup, that's what they are saying. I don't really care what they say, though, I just try to keep the peace with them.....

wow, I really can't imagine that - no disrespect men though.

Can you talk to them, level with them? Or maybe lie and tell them she is sleeping on the couch

My parents are old fashioned, I guess... they think they have every right to control my life and my sister's life. My sister doesn't take their controlling shit, and they call her "rebellious" for it. She isn't doing that great in her life, but still... I think its because they try to control our lives so much that she turned out like she did.
 
Your parents will welcome her with open arms, just tell them this.

Since it's a sin for my girlfriend to live with me I've decided to ask my gay friend Ted to move in. Since I only have the one bedroom, and the one bed, he will have to share it with me. I hope ya'll understand. ;)

I could lie... if that's what it takes to keep things civil. Otherwise I have no problem not ever talking to them... i'm not exactly the "family" type of guy...

I don't think I will, though, I'll just tell them straight up that i'm going to do things my way and they can't stop me.

them.. so u have a good night last night ?

me ..yeah

them.. remeber if u get her pregnant we r not baby sitting for u, think of others before u go out like a tramp !

honest to god!!! they are unbeliveable ,,, what ever you do, dont tell them to shut the fuck up. i tried it just made things way worse.

she's 28, almost 29... trust me, you don't want pics... my family has a propensity towards being fat...

besides, she's got 2 kids, is divorced, has nothing more than a HS education, doesn't have ANY plans for her life, and has moved back in with my parents an UNBELIEVEABLE amount of times... :whatever: we get along just fine, although we didn't always.

yea, I just try and keep the peace... I don't cuss around my parents, although I have slipped a few times. If they annoy me enough about it, though, I will have to get blunt with them.

U CAN ALSO TAPE YOURSELFS HAVEING SEX, AND SHOW IT TO UR PARENTS!

Lets see here, what can I say to that.... I'm not exactly religious, but I do believe in God and His son... however... I'm not planning on letting them run my life. That's not to say that I don't give them due respect. Its just that I have to do things in my life the way I need to do them. I want my fiance here! And not just because its expensive to fly home every damned month, but because I love her and I want to see her!!

That would shock them... and then I'd NEVER hear the end of it. they'd be sending me christian books, CDs and tapes until doomsday about how much a sinner I am, and how much I've disappointed them, etc...

Probably next year sometime, it depends on my rotation, I'm about to go back to sea here in August, I just don't know to what ship yet.

Well I think they know I've slept with her (cuz I sorta told them)... but I have to come clean here I guess. We haven't actually done anything... I actually believe in abstinence until marriage... (although sometimes I want to change my mind...........) They KNOW this, and I told them nothing is going to happen... that's about the only way I could smooth it over. :whatever:

You know if you're both virgin and now engaged, then maybe you SHOULD wait till the honeymoon. It's a beautiful thing

Do some serious reading on sex beforehand though... It sounds lame but it does help you. It doesn't have to take from the sincerity of the moment.
