I found a pic of my 2" thick bar that I often train with. A few guys have been emailing and pming me about what it looked like. Not a great pic...but a start.
The gym I train at when I'm home has 2 or 3 thick bars. I think they have a 2" bar, a 3" bar, and a 4" bar. I'll probably use them some when I'm home over break (the whole 2 weeks I'm off from school ).

I bought a straight piece of Schedule 80 steel and got 2 collars from PDA equipment. Those made for good stop collars and they tightly screw down to the bar and never move.
The piece of steel was about $30 and the collars were about that also...
