The Great High School Team Strongman Challenge
Same events used on the “World’s Strongest Man” Show!
(North American Strongman Inc. Membership required of all Contestants)
DATE: December 16, 2006
TIME: 9:00 a.m. High School Team competition gets underway.
LOCATION: Tri State Sports Complex 83 Concord Road Aston, PA 19014 (www.tristatesports.com) This is an indoor facility.
RULES: North American Strongman Society rules (www.nastrongmaninc.com)
DIVISIONS: High School (teen) Team Championships are made up of athletes between 14 – 19 years of age.
TEAMS: Minimum of 6 athletes on a team with a maximum of 10. All weights allowed.
EVENTS: (6-8 athletes): Round robin medley for time that will include Single log press (200 pounds), Tire Flip (500), Power stairs, Six-man Farmers Walk Relay (180), Atlas Stones (162, 185), Yoke Walk (500), Conan’s Wheel (500) and Tug-of-War. Two preliminary rounds, best time used. Top eight teams make playoff rounds. Weights to be increased each playoff round. Tug-of-war win takes 5 seconds off time. These weights are geared towards teenage-level athletes.

AWARDS: High School (Teen) teams – Viking Swords for athletes on first place team, medals for second and third place. In addition, all athletes from the three top teams qualify for the next NAS Teen Nationals.
ENTRY FEES: $250 per team for each high school team. All athletes must join NAS. Athletes can register on the day of the show by paying $10 at the door and filling out application.
ENTRY DEADLINE: December 10, 2006. We will accept entrees at the door for an additional $10 per team.
