Testin Out my squat suit... PART 2

Well , i tried my squat suit out again, and i got it to work this time pretty good . I had some friends help me out which really helped.
Here's how it went..

1 6 45
1 6 95
1 3 135
1 3 155
1 2 185
1 2 205 suit bottom on
1 2 225
1 1 255
1 1 275 PR!!
1 1 285 straps up w/ knee wraps PR!!
1 1 300 PR!! 1/2 inch high
1 1 315 PR!! 1/2 inch high

The belt was resticting me from going below parallel. It would sink down into my hips and just set against my hips and wouldnt budge :( . All the lifts went up smooth, just in most cases i wasnt able to go below parallel.

All in all it was great day :)

lol yeah iwas stuck at 200 for a few months... did some 20 rep squats for 2 months, got it up to 250. Got hurt, didnt squat for 6 months, came back 2 months later got back to 250, went up to 265. And now im up to 315. Give me a few years before i plateau again :) . Gotta love supportive equipment
 
thanks.. im gonna be so sore.. cant wait to go in my hottub to rest up.

And im getting my weight down too. I weighed in at 136 today.. only 4 more lbs to drop.
 
Congrats on the PR! i know how you feel.
How tight did u have your belt? i cant have my belt as tight as i have it without my suit. it shortens up my breath. also, how low do you wear your belt? you might have to jack up the back part so you can bend down and hit parallel.
what suit are you wearing again, i forgot?
How much are you getting out of it?

i tried with different tightnesses, didnt make much of a difference i've concluded that it was just how low the belt was riding.. i need to raise it up more.

i use a champion suit, and i get maybe 30-40lbs out of it. I still had more left in me today but i didnt want to over due it. 315 was the second heaviest weight i've EVER unracked.. and its 3 plates :)
 
haha lol @ tiny....

you still have me by 55 lbs on bench, 90 on deadlift, and 50 on squat... so dont sweat it,... i still have a good 200lbs before i pass you
 
Great job Deciever! The more you squat in your gear, the more comfortable you will be. If your belt is biting into your hips then pulll it up higher on your stomach. Many powerlifters believe that the belt should be placed higher on the abs anyway. Give it a try and keep hitting those PR's!
 
Ya you really got use your suit to get used to it. Your belt may need to be higher. That is why i have trouble sending real deep. But to raise it feels awkward. But its worth a try. Good luck in it. Your numbers are rising fast. Way to go.
 
thanks everyone... im not as sore as anticipated today... and my little scratches around my hips and upper legs are going away quick. This will be one of my last heavy squat sessions until the meet.. maybe one more left.

My shoulders are pretty sore though.. i actually have an imprint of the bar knurling on my back :(

Everyone from my partner to folks on this board talk about chucks.
Guess I will have to get some.
 
they only had white charcoal and navy blue, so i got navy blue.. i tried them on, and had the sudden urge to squat.
 
I wear black Chuck's. Mine have nice, white, salt-stain bands running over them from being soaked with sweat. Don't fuck with my Chuck's. I love'em!
