I was doing some research and was wondering:
How effective is test prop for females? Anyone out there try it/know someone who has tried it and what were the results.

A few years ago, I took a supplement called DHEA and had amazing results with it with no sides.
 
I haven't tried it but know from other friends that use it that it is a strong roid for women and will definitively have some sides.

m -- have you had your T-levels checked? My question is do you know if you have naturally low testosterone levels? You can get this stuff checked.

I AM NOT IN ANY WAY SUGGESTING THAT YOU DECIDE THAT YOU HAVE LOW TEST AND THUS YOU SHOULD GO SELF MEDICATE w/ YOUR OWN TEST. Its a lot more complicated than that to self diagnose & self medicate w/ hormones.

But there are plenty of women w/ lower natural test levels and scripts for androgel and the like are options. I'm wondering based on what you said about the DHEA & getting results.

No, I am only 29 now (my profile says I am 30 for some reason). I was 24 when I took the DHEA. I will have my levels checked. I do not have a hard time maintaining muscle. But, I can only grow so much and no matter what I have tried, I stayed the same. When I took the DHEA I added some size. For my goals, I want size. I will have a full blood panel run next week. In the past, I have been "perfect" with everything...heart rate is lower than usual due to long history of sports, blood pressure is perfect, all levels are smack in the middle of ref. ranges. I do not recall ever having my test checked or seen it on blood work. Will request that one.
 
at 29...I am pretty sure that you arent close to your genetic potential.

You mentioned added size from the DHEA....in all my years, I have never EVER seen anyone have appreciable gains from hormones(gear or pro-ho) without also having sides....water retention being the primary one - especially in women. Were you tracking weight and BF during that period?

Did you lose when you tapered off??

Did you taper or stop it cold??

Give us some specifics in terms of diet, training, stats.....

Never said I was. Just couldn't find a way to get the results AT THE TIME. All I am doing is research. On this site it is promoted to research before being an idiot and blindly jumping into something. I just related an experience I had with DHEA. My quesiton was regarding test prop. I did not observe any sides, bf was 15% diet was a lot of protein and little fat. training was 5 days a week, never tained the same bodypart more than once a week. I was 24, stupid, and it was 5 years ago. Anything else I cannot tell you. DHEA was the only supplement I took and I saw results in my lifts and size, albeit minimal, but still results.

I would be suprised if anyone on here will recommend test prop, esecially for a non-competitor.

I wouldnt recommend it if only for the masculizing effects and the HUGE Estrogen rebound and increased water retention that will hit you.


I have trained several female competitors who used other anabolics with GREAT success.......

there are better choices....var being on of them...you will get more solid, lasting gains with far fewer sides

that is what I am beginning to find out. Better leave the prop alone. Not going for any AAS's just yet. want to get my current bf down and diet under control. thanks for the advice.
