Tattoos, anyone else sick of them?

Why does everyone under 30 seem to have one (or 2,3,4, or 15)? I'm especially sick of the arm band tattoos. I can't think of anything that I want drawn on my body permanently. How do people choose what tattoo they get? What's up with people getting Asian symbols written on their body? Most of the people aren't even Asian?

Yeah, I know people are free to do whatever to their own body, but it sucks when you're a single person looking for a potential mate and there's nothing but a sea of people that are disfigured with awful looking tats.
 
lot of people get these Asian symbols thinking they mean one thing (i.e. "peace" or "tranquility") when they mean something else or nothing at all. my cousins g/f got one on the back of her neck (wtf?) she thinks it means one thing but my mother in law said it actually means HOUSE.

Maybe if you stand outside the tattoo shops and stop all the hot women from going in to make such a big mistake you may find Mrs. Right. ;)

But it is amazing how things are so cyclic...

You wouldnt have caught anyone with a tatoo during my school years...

Yeah seems like everyone my age has a tattoo.

I'm sick of going to the beach and every single guy having a tattoo... barb wires or tribal around the arm seems to be the most popular ones.

I don't care what other people have. I don't have any at all but don't mind if my future wife has one - as long as it is tasteful.
I am sick of seeing the same shit at my gym though - 8 to 10 dudes who train together and all have angels wings tattooed on the inside of both their biceps.

Yea, I've seen more bad tattoos on people than good ones but that's my opinion. I also have seen alot of unoriginal work/same type of ink on people. Most people are in fact "sheep" and followers who get the same type of tattoo at the same location on their body. I've seen some really good stuff though that has alot of meaning to people. Those peices are in fact unique especially to them. The ones that get tattoos because others get them do it out of vanity. I personally think it's tacky. Those are the ones that compensate for most of the foul ones I see.
 
I was thinking of getting a tattoo on my right arm, but I'm going for something TOTALLY ORIGINAL!!!! It will be a pic of my upper torso, with a guy beside me with a tattoo gun in his hand holding it up to my right arm, and a miniature version of this scenario can be seen on my right arm in the tattoo.

Either that or the MacDonalds arches.

A couple buddies has ones that aren't in style anymore or ones they no longer like.

Too bad since it is permanent.

I never understood why someone would want something on their body they cannot change for the rest of their life. Plus it looks trashy on females.
 
Tats are tired. Since everyone and their frat brother has some sort of foreign language tattoo, I wonder if anyone in other countries have regular english words tattoos like "tree" or "rock", maybe even "wisdom".
I doubt it.

Not sick of them yet. I have 3. Some people think they are trashy while others think they are art. Just depends on who you are I guess. I'll be getting another one shortly, but it is to cover up my first one.
 
I would think if some of you guys who are sick and tired bla bla bla, would sit threw a session you'd appreciate the ammount of energy and time in getting one. Try it without any ink just to get a feel for it. then come and talk about them. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. Except for homosexuality.
 
well i can tell you i got my tats in highschool and i have some i wish i could remove but i am going to get a big tat on my spine to cover the 15 inch scar from surgery..., but i will never get color tats anymore you get bored of the color at least i did....
 
i really don't give a fuck about anyones opinion on my tats. i've yet to have one of you tattoo free avengers say anything to me in person. must be a common trait among those afraid of pain.

no, but threads like this are as pointless as saying "i hate bald people" or "fat people make me sick". odds are that this dude is both.
 
I never found a tatt that I'd want to have tattooed on myself......

I like the TV show Miami Ink where they show what the people get & the stories behind the tatt.....very interesting....
