Hey, Im on the atkins diet to lose the weight then I plan on going onto a CKD to keep the weight off and then start to build more muscle.

Anyways my Q is this: I turn 20 this weekend and all my friends wana take me out so we can all get tanked and the such :) I can allready assume its gona be junk food, and drinking all day. Anyways if i was to take a break from atkins for the day, and then get back in, would it reck the diet? (im worried about yo-yoing and recking my bodys metabolism) Would I gain a lot of weight id have to spend another week or two trying to rid myself of or would taking a day off be ok to relax and party with friends?
 
one day isnt gonna kill you bro...never done atkins really but i think you eat some carbs therefore you arent in ketosis so you arent gonna get bumped out of that the worst i think will happen is you might bloat up for a couple days if you do eat a lot of carbs

From a positive point of view:
When dieting, your thyroid becomes rather domant and a refeed will help you get back on track. A refeed/cheat day (you'll be doing once a week on a CKD) will jumpstart your metabolism again.

One day isn't going to kill your progress, infact, it'll help it. Remember, since your on ATKINS, consuming carbs will cause some weight gain, just remember its all water. If your really concerned take some ALA before each meal, that will definately help. Start atkins again the next day, the problem I always have is extending it for a few more days.

Drink the hard stuff, stay away from the beers. Drink one for me or two or three. I miss drinking.....I think I will have one. lol It's your B-Day Bro, have a good time. Going out with my boys for a birthday is always a blast.
 
Yeah man, enjoy. I did the Atkins thing for a year (never cheated) and it was brutal. Now I stick to around 20-40 grams a day during the week, then 1 day I eat the piss outta some Cheeseburgers (this saturday its deep dish and fries) and work out like theres no tomorrow in the insuing days.

Enjoy man, your going to put on some water weight. I stopped stepping on scales a LONG time ago. It can be missleading. Go by how you look and feel bro.
