Because I do not want my tax money being wasted on some pissing contest between my government and some fanatics that cold care less if the world glowed bright red...as long as the fanatics hurt westerners.

I would rather have the money come back to me through a strong economy and lower taxes (when the deficit is taken care of).

If the world is glowing bright red, your tax dollars don't do you a lot of good.

Lowering oil prices (which has happened already) helps the economy.
