the kid will probably have a brighter future cause of his age, but I don't think his talent upstage hers, not yet at least. Child prodigy singers are a dime a dozen, we see one or two EVERY YEAR. Boyle is still a one off.

Yeah, the essence of Boyle's *victory* is totally something else in comparison. The kid's is the promise of what may come, Susan's is more of a redemptive one...I think she could die tommorrow and be satisfied at her (life)accomplishment with that one performance.

Singing a cover song on national tv is hardly an 'accomplishment' if I was her. You only say that cuz "she's old, fat, ugly and this is the highlight of her life". Just admit it media!

That's like me going on american idol and ripping through Eddie Van Halen's eruption, and everyone ranting and raving how I will be proud of myself for life. I guess you could say that if I was 80 years old and frail and got a few years to live.

Media should just be honest. Instead of saying "this was an awesome performance" be truthful. "This was an honest performance for someone who's old, virgin, ugly, fat and this'll be the big highlight of her life".
