i got a buddy who is big into guns and i always tag along to the shoot clay pigens with him and this weekend his father (gun collector) is going to let us his shoot his ar-15

any one ever shoot one?


all i have shot was a 12 gauge and a few pistols and a 30-odd six

I've fired an M-16 and an MP-5, both at the Las Vegas Gun Store.

50 cal is awesome. we shot tracer rounds at a tank which was pretty cool. great experience if you get a chance. it suks cleaning them though.

cantact a local gun shop and ask about gun clubs. they go out in groups and shoot guns and all kinds of shit.

I have one. Barrel cutted down to 16", with folding stock and ACOG scope. Great weapon, but I recently sold my M-1A and bought a Sig 552 Black special. Now this aint in the same league. Trust me !

tiger88, you might be a bit disapointed. You'll probably find the 12 guage and ought-six give you more of a "thrill" to shoot. A common first thought for the uninitiated upon first shooting the AR-15 (or M-16) is "that's it?"


A well outfitted AR can certainly be a fun gun to shoot.

When I picked one up I thought "damn, feels like a BB gun" Real light, which is good if you've got to carry it around all day (unless he has tricked it out with a heavy target barrel).

Do you need a license to own any firearms at all in South Africa? I heard that they had very free gun laws over there until the ANC took over, is there any truth to this? BTW, AR-15's are cool as shit to play with; maybe a little too sensitive for combat though.

the new laws are to help the crack down on crime and many farmers are getting killed since they are only allowoed to carry a small fire arms....there are way to many fucking guns in that country......half the guns are illegal....makes the usa look like heaven in comparison to rsa..

One more reason you need to join the Marines, Tiger88. You'll get to shoot all sort of fun shit. I think my favorite is the MK-19 semi-automatic grenade launcher. Nothing like watching that bad boy lauch a pound of explosives down range at the touch of a button. PS, I tried to throw ya some K but my shit is still screwed up.
