Strongest Triceps In The World?!?!?!

why may i ask?

because those are both isolation movements. isolation movements bring out the detail and striations in that muscle. when people go heavy on isolation movements, they sacrifice form and less tension is actually put on the muscle.
 
Not great form on JMs. Head leans ALOT. The worst was his dumbell ext. Drops his arm alot. STILL very strong to do all of that no question...

I dont know about that. Your muscle knows resistance period. Its easier to lose form most likely BUT still takes alot more strength to KEEP that form...so is it harder or easier?

well say 80lbs was at 100% isolation, meaning all the tricep is invloved

you bump it up to 140 and now only 60% of your triceps being used, thats still 84lbs. Does that make sense? Idk if it does
 
What a joke, form was fucking horrible he was practically benching the weight. The dude is strong but to call that a 400lb skull crusher is absurd.
 
dont even get me started on the db extension. your upper arm is supposed to be locked in place while you use your triceps to push it up, thats more of a tricep extension/shoulder press kinda movement.

And yeah, I might have been more impressed if that infernal instrument weren't bleating in the background. I want to take a samurai sword and slash every bagpipe on the planet. Even plants shouldn't be subjecting to that racket. How you can call that music?...:whatever:
 
Even if it wasnt a real skull crusher he still close grip bench pressed 440lbs which is more than almost anyone here can do. His normal bench press must be around 600lbs if not more

Some people can CG bench alot more then regular bench, such as myself.

I used to be stronger on CGBP at one point too.

Is the reason you are because you dont do much benching or chest work as it isnt very important in strongman but you do alot of tri and shoulder work as that is very important in strongman?
 
just looks like a benchpress gone really bad.Now theres a guy at my gym who uses 225 for REAL skull crushers on a straight bar for sets of 20.... Ya thats a mind fuck to see!

Probably, although even when i was doing bench regularly when i first started out i was still weak on it. However recently i have been changing my form up with the help of someone and its helping my regular bench alot.
 
form is awful on the skull crushers, elbows go down to the bench, and the music is hideous too :), kinda like doing 1/4 squats since there's too much weight on the bar...

Yeah skull crusher (or nose breaker) poundage can vary hugely based on form. Keep your elbows way in tight and poundages will plunge. Great for helping you cheat out a few last reps, but so tempting to let your elbows spread out and get weight happy.

nahh he didnt make the lift. I never said his form wasnt bad, but to do what he calls skullcrushers with that poundage is still pretty impressive, even though it was pretty much turned into a JM Press. The db extension was kinda crappy too as the elbow came down, but again not many people could do what he did with the weight. The video he called nosebreakers was closest to good form.
