Steroids and SSRIs

Can anyone tell me or point me to info. about interactions between Steroids (deca) and SSRIs (Zoloft)? Soon I may be taking both. Been serching, but can't find anything specific about interactions. Don't think a doctor will answer my question. (They are anti-steroid)

I haven’t tried Deca or Zoloft, but from what I hear Deca gives you deca deck (limp deck) and some people lose their sex drive with Zoloft.

Zoloft is a closed relative to Prozac. I use to use Prozac and had what’s called “Prozac Burn out” for some people after a year or two the drug stops working. I am now on WELLBUTRIN XL and it works great and doesn’t affect your sex drive, in fact it helps. Talk to your Dr. about it

I hope you're not planning on using deca alone if you value your libido.

I've been on paxil for years and have noticed no conflicts with the gear I've used.

Thanks, for the adivice. I've actually been taking Zoloft on and off for years, I know what they're all about, and I know what the side-effects are. And, did alot of research on steroids, but haven't taken them, yet.

Seems as though they are two very different drugs. The only contradiction I see is about apetite and maybe libido. Some people seem to be concerned about deca-dick, but my understanding is that's only a problem with high dosages and prolonged use. I guess what I'm really concerned about is the serotonin factor. Anybody else ?

Like I said, Doctors shy away from steriods. Last time I asked my doctor about them he acted like I was a criminal.

im on efexor and deca. i use to be on zoloft but hated the sexual side effects. it was like i was on a serious dose of deca being on zoloft. i dropped it for effexor and it has been a huge change. as far as ssri's and AAS i dont see any problems in me so far and i have been on my cycle 4 weeks now. and im on a pretty hefty cycle as well. and libido is effected on deca even at small doses. i started my cycle on 200mg deca and now im at 400mg per week and i experienced deca dick from early on. cialis works wonders for that though. but the test im on makes me want to hump any girl i see. one time i found myself desireing my mother in law and shes not the greatest looking person.

i dont want to i just found myself getting the urge due to the increased test bro. come on its not like i would. but i was wierd for me to have that urge.

lol .. outside of the crazy urges just remember that ssri's will make you inrease in bodyfat / weight. I used lexapro for a short period of time a few years ago and no matter how hard i trained, i couldn't lose the weight around my waist. SSRI's are horrible if you're trying to lose weight.

certain ones do that not all. my mom has been on some that made her gain weight but then she switched to a different one that made her lose weight. a lot of weight. so it all depends on the meds they are all different with different sides.

i really dont know. all i know is she went on a roller coaster ride with her doc changing the meds around. some of them made her seriously gain weight but there were 2 times she switched and they made her lose weight. my doc told me that the efexor im on has been reported by his patients that they lost weight on it as well. ive only been on it for 3 weeks now. since im on a bulk diet and cycle i am gaining weight so i cant confirm that just yet. these were patients that didnt do anything to their diet besides start taking the efexor. but as far as my mom im not sure which ones did but they really did make her lose a bunch of weight.

Im on effexor but its causing delayed ejaculation so im thinking of switching to wellbutrin if possible? Supposedly no sexual sides?

I am taking paroxatine(paxil) and have had no problems with gear
the only thing I could find is that some ssri can make nolva less effective
but I use nolva and all is good

I have a number of friends on wellbutrin, including my ex, and they suffered no sexual sides at all. In fact, my ex actually said it made her hornier.

I can't take it because I can't tolerate stimulants stimulants at all and it made me crazy jumpy.
