Everyone knows that you lose gains when you end your cycle because your natural test levels are almost non existant. Now let's say that if you quit your cycle and your natural test levels instantly returned to normal, would you lose anything from your test levels dropping from a very high level down to normal?
The reason I'm asking is that my doc prescribes androgel to me. I don't use it while I'm on a cycle but I'll be using it as soon as I quit. Therefore my test levels should never drop below normal. I'm just wondering if I can expect to lose any of my gains.

Your body can naturally(ie no chemicals) only maintain so much mass on its own. If you are well beyond that and stop juice, of course you will lose it. If your still under your genetic potential, then you should keep it.

Yup! Again, exactly my thoughs. Pluus I'm too lazy to type!

If you're below your genetic max and you're eating and lifting properly you should be fine.

But if you've retained a lot of water on your cycle, you'll still lose that water weight.

I don't know all about this genetic max limit. Wouldn't your genetic max be more based on your daily intake of carbs. & protein. I mean the bigger you get and the more you raise your daily calorie intake covering your new size wouldn't that keep raising your genetic limits weather your on or off AS.????

inmyprimeat39, think about it for a minute, Many of the pro's juice like no ones business and have for years yet even they reach upper limits. Age also plays a part in it. If there was no limit to our potential then we would never stop growing. If our potential was also only limited by food intake as you theorize, why would we even need juice? According to you we just eat right and grow and grow and grow.....correct? Everything has a limit. And our bodies are no different. Chemicals allow us to reach our natural limit faster and take it farther, but without thier continued help our bodies will slowly revert to thier prechemical state....once we have passed that non chemical enhanced limit.

Zyg I agree with what you are saying about the use of AS. All I mean is once you have lost the water you retain from roids and have adjusted your calorie intake of the new muscle there is no reason way your new genetic limit is now what muscle your holding.

Don't forget about elevated cortisol levels once you stop your cycle. The AAS can competitively inhibit cortisol from binding to its receptor. This results in the interruption of the feedback mechanism to regulate cortisol production and the subsequent increase of cortisol levels. When you get off your cycle, the cortisol is still there but now you don't have enough androgens to compete. Ut Oh!

androgel can never replace the same quantity of test you were getting from your cycle, so technically it's not "normal levels" of test that keep all of your gains, but "cycle levels" that do.

Know what I mean?
