Steak fans: What's your fav marinade/seasoning?

I bought a grill for my apt about 2 months ago and I've been using it obsessively ever since. I probably go through 'bout $70 in meat each week. My fav is definitely a 12 oz NY Strip. I usually have it with a 10oz twice baked potato and corn on the cob.

Here's the spices I normally season my steaks w/ -

Onion Salt
Lawry's Seasoned Salt
Kansas City style steak seasoning

What do y'all use for seasoning and marinades?

as i already posted in another thread...

get a london broil and marinate with the following.
1 cup vegetable oil.
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice
3 tablespoons worchestshire sauce
2 tablespoons bleck pepper
2 tablespoons frank's red hot
2 onions minced
2 cloves of garlic minced
(i usually add a little extra red wine vinegar, some meat tenderizer and this vegetable spice mix...but everything above is the basics.)

let that marinate the meat for 2 days. grill the meat on low until done. save the marinade and boil it down (add a little sherry if you want) to thicken it up, strain, and use as a gravy with the meat. it's great.

I usually marinate the NY Strips or Porterhouses with a dry rub

Cover the steak with the following:
garlic powder
ground thyme
black pepper
pinch of salt
paprika
Oyster sauce (optional)

Do the same for the other side and leave overnite or whole day

Sear on high for 7 min each side, then bring down to a medium heat for 4 min... Set aside on a plate for about 10 min and eat.

marinade overnight in Jack Daniels

i usually like using dale's or stubb's beef marinade.

if im making the marinade myself i usually mix a bit of soy sauce with italian dressing or a vinagrette and add a bit of lemon juice.

for the rub i just use this cajun blend called tony's cacheree.

my favorite cut is a ribeye. medium rare, of course.

I go nuts with what I have

stuff I've used

lemon juice
kiwi (one of the most potent tenderizers ever created)
garlic powder
salt and pepper
italian seasoning
soy sauce
montreal steak seasoning
horsradish (the real kind)
italian dressing
thai peanut sauce
jerk seasoning
wine
whatever the fuck else is lying around
