static contraction

we discredited that awhile ago, just do a search, the thread was started by Legion Kreinak, not legion krenak2

I've tried em before for a couple months on top of my regular routine a few months ago... My strength went up in all the statics I did... but it never carried over to my other lifts... So i dropped em...

Honestly, I think there may be something to static contraction training. I have the book and even if one doesn't believe in the method,the book is still very interesting and it can give some interesting insights into training that many of us have never considered. However, at this time I have as of yet to experiment on myself with a static hold only routine, though I have used static holds periodically with my regular routines. I've found them to be quite effective on both my lats and hamstrings, as far as rapid strength gains, however I haven't noticed any signifigant results when using them on other muscles, but then again, they have not been the core of my workout as of yet, so who can say?
