I started on my arm day, so I did Bi's first. I started with Standing Barbell curls:

Warmed up with dimes 10 reps, Started my first working set with quarters 5 x 5. next week I will bump 5 or 10 more pounds. I then did 2 sets of alternating DBell curls 8 to 10 reps, followed by 2 sets of Cable preacher curls 8 - 10 reps. First question is, do I increase weight on ALL sets or just 5 x 5?

Finished up with Tri's that fucking refuse to grow, warm up with a plate, then did my first working set with 2 plates (225) 5x5. 2 sets of cable push downs, then 2 sets of reverse one arm pulldowns both 8 to 10 reps per set. Again do I increase my poundage on all excersises.

Good for you man, I love 5x5. Try to increase weight on each set, and on each exercise. But if you stagnate just continue working w/ the same weight and eventually you'll climb up.

Make sure you increase the weight on the huge compound exercise...but if you stagnate, nothing you can do. Try to increase the weight on the accessory exercises, the whole point of this sport is to set new goals and conquer them...You said your tri's refuse to grow? Try doing skull crusher and dips (assuming that 225 lb is the close grip bench press). I don't think I had good results from cable exercises as much as I had from free weight compounds. Good luck.

So I should be increasing or pyramiding from set to set? Not stay at the same weight for the whole workout or whole 5x5?

Not from set to set, If you do 5x5 using 225, use 225 for all 5 sets of 5, and next time try 230...etc....etc
