What kind of training should somebody be doing to prepare for a spartan race. I know it involves alot of running and climbing. So i would do some american ninja type workouts?
a lot of long, slow, distance to build up your cardio as the cliche goes
when i was an endurance runner i would do a lot of this because it will not wear down your body and it works. set your watch to 40-50 minutes then go slow jog without stopping on grass
