South Beach Diet Review

O.k....Now I need YOUR help! I'm being bombarded with ?'s (mainly at the gym by older men and women) whom are curious as to the effectiveness to this deit. I've done my research, but want to hear from people who actually ave tried this diet compared with Atkins, etc. Please give me your feedback........
 
My father has been following this diet for about a year now. He went from about 260 down to about 220 in about 6 months.
 
i know a few girls who have used it and like it

they just eat low fat sources of protein (chicken etc and stay from atkins that aways any low carb items (bacon)

also not good for bbers since a good supply of carbs are needed to maintain muscle mass and further development more mass

In my opininon the South Beach Diet is the best mainstream/fad diet out there. While I haven't posted as much as you, we share much of the same knowledge and thoughts on dieting. South beach incorportates many of the same priniciples and ideas we support on this board. It allows no fruit and alcohol in the first 2 weeks. Unlike Adkins and other diets it focuses on good sources of carbs and fats, not the deletion of these important nutrients from your diet. If you have more specific questions about the diet, please feel free to ask.
