Solution to the evil breakouts!

spatts said:

So what do you use now?

well right now i use a face wash by Mario Badescu Skin care....but i think its time to change b/c back when i did EQ i broke out on my cheek, which will not go away and its been about 6 months sooo i think it may be time to try the proactive again... I didnt keep using the proactive because once my ace was gone, i think it was a little to drying for my skin.

I have really good luck with liquid dial soap and salt. Then I follow up with an oil free moisturizer with a few drop of oil free AHA gel in it. When I actually DO it, my skin looks better. The only time it looks totally free of breakouts is when I'm on.

I guess this is the price I pay for making it through high school and college without any blemishes.

Do you sometimes feel that your 20,30,40 something skin is turning 13 all over again?

Breakouts after years of clear skin?
Breakout after waiting for those bag of your head years to finally end?

After 17 years of clear skin - BOOM - I'm 13 all over - breakout hell. (I still suspect it has a lot to do with me spending more and more time out of the sun.)

Anywho

I would not suggest this to anyone had I not seen it work on my bosses son and on myself.

Proactiv

It actually works!

Ritualistic (I like that sort of thing)

check it out here www.proactiv.com

But try it out through www.qvc.com and try the mini travel pack for $15 to see if it works for you. Actually from what others have told me it's actually better through QVC and don't order the auto-delivery because it's hell to cancel on both QVC and Proactiv's site. (QVC also has the items for individual sale.)

Don't worry - we'll have to keep the QVC thang a secret.

OH!

And from what I have read they also have products for your body.

Good Luck!

:D

nice post velvett, i will look into this. i dont need it now, but sometimes i do..;)

I've been using it and it has helped...watch out for the lotion though, it bleaches your towels, shirts and whatever else you come in contact with! They have finally just added the warning to the bottle!

I've noticed that my skin (especially on my nose) has looked dry and peels just a bit...it goes with the territory. No matter what, I always get a pimple or two to let me know that my period is on it's way!

I tried the ProActive and it didn't really work for me, dried out my skin, never felt moistuirized. Do you all use the toner too? I think the more I do to my skin the more it breaks out!

I use Retin-A Micro. Go figure...my insurance company won't cover it because I'm over 25. What a scam! They say if you're over 25 you're using is for wrinkles...even if the doctor prescribes it for acne. Grrrrrrrrrr...I hate my insurance company!

I'm gonna have to order the Proactiv...I've heard so many people say how good it is. The Retin-A hasn't completely eliminated the problem for me.
