Smart Cutting Diet

I need some help. I weigh 181 lbs. I just put on about 15 lbs of muscle the past two months but in the process gained some flab around my waist but nowhere else. I am really solid all over but around my waist. My top two abs show pretty good but its around the middle two/bottom two that I have the flab. Nothing bad but enough to bother me. I currently am doing 3 days of 30 min cardio on the elliptical/treadmill. I burn about 400-450 cals each session. I do all my cardio after I lift. I dont want to lose alot of the hard earned muscle I put on...When is the right time to do cardio? How long should each session be? How many times a weeks should I be doing cardio? I would like a 6 pack but a flat muscular stomach for the summer I would be ok with...just enough to burn that flab away while maintaining as much muscle as possible.

6:30am - 1 cup of Quaker Oats oatmal, 6 egg whites, spoon of Peanut Butter

9:30am - 2 scoop of On's Protein with 8 oz water, vitamins and some kind of
fruit such as grapes/oranges or apple

12:00pm - 1 scoop of protein and Either chicken or tuna, with a fruit and a
serving of vegetables

3:45pm (Pre workout meal) - can of tuna, fruit and either a cup of lowfat
yogurt or a cup of oatmeal

6:30pm - usually steak, chicken, tureky burgers or fish with vegetables or rice

9-10pm- within that range usually 1.5 scoop of protein

I hope this helps...if you need anything else please feel free to ask. Thanks alot.

You're too low on your EFA's - get some flax oil, fish oil, or olive oil in your diet.
Get rid of the fruit - eat fibrous veggies instead. Also, get rid of the yogurt & the rice. I bet you would see some good results if you made these small changes.

As far as cardio, you'll have to see what works best for you. Diet is the most important factor in losing fat. Get that in check first, then adjust your cardio. I find that cardio really eats away at my lean muscle, so I only use it as a last resort.

So when do you recommend taking the flax oil? What should my preworkout meal look like now without the fruit/yogurt?
