Shoulders

Hey all,

I'm trying to improve my shoulder strength and need new idea's on what to do. Currently on shoulder days(like today) I do:
Shoulder Press ~6 sets including warm up
Arnold Press~ same as above
Front raise~ 3 sets
Lateral Raise~ 3 sets

To me my shoulders seem weak. What other exercises can I do to help them? OH~ I also did 2 sets of shoulder circles 20 sec forward, 20 sec backwards, 20 sec up & down X2 straight through(if that makes sense)

what rep range???

when you are done do you have lactic acid build up?? you shouldn't that's why i ask..

strength is about increasing fast twitch muscle

8-10 reps
I can lift heavy on the shoulder press/arnold press but when doing lateral/front raise, I can't seem to lift as much(then again, maybe I shouldn't)
My side laterals are pretty tough.

I struggle with shoulders too. I see improvements everywhere else but I can't seem to get those rounded shoulders I see in the figure girls and the bodybuilders. I know some women aren't fans of shrugs but I added them 6 months ago, and while they don't really work the shoulder they have helped the overall look of my shoulders. Still want those rounded shoulders though.

have you tried swimming?

I was gonna say that, even as a young kid like 10 years old I had relatively broad shoulders from swimming, I used to swim alot and swim hard, for a speed swimming club...

I like strict standing military press right now, if you do it exactly as rippetoe says, it makes your traps sore as fuck too. Behind Neck Presses and Bradford presses have worked good for me too in the past...

also incline presses and dips on chest day will help shoulder strength...

Just started dips 2 weeks ago as I can now actually lift myself to do them.
8 max.
I think if I cut a bit, my muscles might actually show:p

My shoulders lagged before. I had good strength but never the cannonball look. I did make nice improvements when I started hitting the rear delts more.
