shoulders sore on a chest workout?

obviously i know u work ur shoulders when doing ur chest but mine get really sore which is okay! cause i get a good pump. Im on 500mgs of sust anyone else have this problem?
 
My shoulders burn after working chest. Its annoying. Its more difficult to finish with crossovers because my shoulders are dead.
 
You can avoid this if you try working chest and shoulders together, then your shoulders arn't still sore from your last shoulder workout, I like, don't knock it until you try it.
 
I agree with will b huge,
I do alot of incline which brings the delts into play as secondary and stabilizer muscles. After I'm done my full chest workout, i superset rear delts and lateral raises. Since these aren't compound movements you don't need alot of weight, just good form. This makes for an all in one chest/shoulder workout. Anyways, it works for me.

This just started hapening to me. The only thing different for me is the amount of weight i am using for reps. I have gone up 20+ pounds for reps in the last month and my shoulders just started to kill me the day after my chest workout. Dont know exactly why this is happening but oh well maybe it will stop and maybe it wont, doesnt mean I will quit doing heavy chest. My only problem with this is I do shoulders the day after chest and by then my shoulders are sore from my chest workout. anyone else have any input.

Make sure before working chest to stretch shoulders too, to warm and loosen them up. A lot of people ignore stretching shoulders.
 
I used to have this same problem.. For me, it was my technique.. Pre-exhasting didn't work..

Try keeping your shoulder blades retracted throughout the entire motion when performing a chest exercise.
 
Also squats, when im done with squats my lower back is killin me, i usually work through the pain and go straight to deadlifts, but by the time im walkin to my car its very hard to walk because of the tightness of my lower back.....drama:bawling:
 
Same thing happens to my traps when I work chest but I have no problem with that as my traps are my best body part so I must be doing something right LOL

I just seperate my chest and shoulder workouts as much as possible. Seems to help a lot. If you train chest and shoulders on the same day u run the risk of overtraining. Nothing worst than a shoulder injury mid cycle!!!!

Same here.. I tend to raise my shoulders when I get sloppy with chest exersices... That's where my training partner would come in.. My traps over-power the rest of me too.
I also think this is a result of not-so-good back training that I sometimes slip into. When you elevate your shoulders (especially during rows) you hit those traps some..

5 DAYS AGO I INJURED MY RT SHOULDER WHILE BENCH PRESSING. I DONT REALLY KNOW WHEN IT HAPPENED,BUT THE PAIN STARTED THE NEXT DAY AND HAS GRADUALLY WORSENED.DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A ROTATOR CUFF INJURY?
 
If i bend over and let my arms hang, i feel like the arm wants to come out of socket. Also, when i move my arm 360 degress going backward to front, there is a pop at the top of the movement. I feel it most when doing arnold presses in the front of my shoulder.
 
I also work chest shoulders traps and tris on the same day
I am also on sus and today my shoulders were sore as shit mid workout. I am going to tri pre exhausting my chest with some flies I guess next time. Hopefully I can get my chest to keep growing along with the rest of me. I am seeing gains on bench however...

For me my shoulders ALWAYS get pumped up no matter what I'm working on. Not sure if it's because they're being used as stabilizers, or are one of my best parts, but I love the pump except when it wares me out.
