Ladies Please....
An opinion on Sex & The City Movie. I just had a chance to see it and didnt like it at all. What was up with the dog the whole movie?? That was the funniest part. All of them looked so "made up" like overdone??
I used to enjoy the show but the movie, yeck! Opinions on it please? Is it just me ? I thought Samatha played her role really well & Jennifer Hudson was great!
Just disappointed I guess. I've heard so much about the movie and how great it is??
Let me know your thoughts!

I hated it. I wasn't much of a fan of the TV show either, but the movie was totally cringe-inducing.

I'd never even seen an episode until 2 years or so ago (didn't own a TV, by choice) so I was quite entertained that so many on elite had said that by the posts I had made my life seemed like something from the show. So when I finally watched the program, I thought, "NOT". LOL I'd watched a few episodes of the program and honestly, didn't care much for it.

Just curious, when you still watch reruns of the TV show, do you still seem to enjoy them as much as you did back when the program was first new?

The program was definitely different than other shows of the day, but it just was not my cup of tea.

Back when the show was on if I had time I'd watch it, but didnt go out of my way to be sure I saw it each week. All the talk about the clothing worn by the women, (especially Sara Jessica) - I'd watch & think now who the hell would wear that walking down the street?? So 'over the top' but we all have our own taste & style!!
Mostly when I see re-runs I wonder what all the hype was back then?? Then seeing the movie - everyone looked so made-up, too much make-up, dfferent hair colors. And supposedly there is another one in the making. Why???
Just venting ladies, thats all! Thanks for listening.

Never really watched the show, did really get my attention therefore didn't see the movie.... did enjoy watching whipped men in line holding their girlfirend's bag and popcorn with a forced dreadful smile pretending they were "into" watching the movie :D

You know my husband? LOL

He would draw the line, though, at feigning interest in the movie. He'd get up, say, "I'll be outside smoking a cigar." and walk away and I would sit there unencumbered to enjoy the flick.

It's funny really how whipped my husband is and he LOVES it. hehehehee He has NEVER EVER done the things that he does for me for any other woman.

At least tell me he saved face and didnt hold ur purse :qt:

It's funny when that happens, my BF is pretty big and mean looking, in general he is pretty rough with people, but a real sweetheart with me ^_^ when we were dating I used to tease him about how he was like Shrek because he was all mean looking and liked people to dislike him but is very nice and sweet deep inside....
