Where's the rage there? And he commited _murder_.

Oh yeah -- he went through the court system, and finished process. Same with these guys. I'm sure our government is watching them 24/7. Or at least i hoep they are. We should concentate on what the governmnent is doing to watch over, and rehabilitate these people into normal society.

Locking them up forever -- will only ensure the next molested girl will be killed and planted 6 feet under.

What REALLY irritates me, is when the government lets out a creep like in Florida -- didn't do a good job keepin' tabs on him, and making him functional again -- and he goes out and kills a girl. Someone is responsible for this shit.

If the scumbag was convicted he has a track record. The recidivism rate for all criminals is over 50% - it is even higher than that for sex offenders...child sex offenders even higher...

Why not. We let guys who blow people like you and me away for $5, back on the streets? My city is full of former murderers and rapists walking all around me, thanks to Sherriff Lee Baca's 2004 "We run out of prison beds, so we're letting everyone out" campaign.

Like i said -- increasing the penalties for child molestation can backfire on society. More kids will be killed, purely to not get caught. We have to pick a middle-ground here.

Getting back to a normal and healthy, happy life... well.. lets put it this way, something is lost, something that can't be restored. I place a child molestator right aside a murder... IMO you just killed the innocence of someone. It can never come back.

They are the scum of the earth, to prey upon young innocent boys and girls and strip them, also having them think ever day..... EVERY DAMN DAY, that what has happened is in some way shape or form their fault. What do you think this does to these children.

If you've never experienced it yourself or experienced somenone you love go through this I can't even expect you to understand the impact it has on their lives. They are never the same, NEVER!

Murder is the sin of all sins, I agree.. but molestation is murder, of the innocence of someone that neither asked nor deserved it.

I don't disagree with you on the murder and the govt's ability to rehabilitate... I also don't think either crimes are able to be completely rehabilitated.

Ya, she lived, but in total misery almost everyday of her life. She constantly wakes up with nightmares about it. A simple man, maybe, but I have a simple solution to sex offenders that would put an end to it. Strip them down butt naked, tie their hands behind their backs, put their genetals on a tree stump and then bust them with a sledge hammer. I look at pedifiles as being no better than a murderer. Sorry about your friend, these people are the scum of the Earth, but they are still people. The punishment must fit the crime, with respect to the Constitution, PEROID. That's how it works. Your obtuse and crass opinion on this matter, even further erodes your appeal to inequitable, backwood, vigilante justice (ie sledge hammer to the genitals on a tree)
