what do you think about the two together? Are they mutually exclusive or can they coexist; I say the latter, depending mostly on the mindset of the two involved...... and how good the sex was.

In fact, I think not having sex with someone one considers a friend could leave the two worse off if (and only if) the underlying intent was there early on- i.e. untapped potential ( haha I'm a master of puns!).

I nailed a girl I've been friends with for about 10 years. We were both hammered. No big deal. Matter of fact, we still joke about it.

I say they can live together depending on the circumstance under which said sex happened.

if someone is my friend - thats all they are, nothing more to it. If someone is my sex buddy - then its only sex, there is no talking about stuff like friends

About 7 years ago I dated this girl for two years off and on. We broke up time went by, got back to together for lunch one day, and our now VERY good friends... with benefits. We both know that it isn't going to go anywhere, hell she's about engaged and in love... somewhat.

But, yes it works, we are very compatible for friendship but not a relationship... the sex is good too btw

I have had plenty of male friends and not had sex with them (I was either the little/big sister). Of course this was mainly in high school and college. When I left home and moved, I was in a relationship most of my time here. So, I haven't built many friendships in my area. The one male friend I have is gay. So to be honest, I have yet to put that to the test in a real life adult situation.

I enjoy male oriented things, like cigars, sports, etc. The older I get the harder it is to meet women without husbands & children that can book a trip last minute and travel. I think it is possible to have a friendship without sex if the lines of communication are clear. Now that I'm single and going out to meet people, it will be interesting to see if this is actually possible. If not, I can always have more gay male friends.

but having a friend whom is female has it's advantages. like getting your back scratched. ya can't ask a dude to do that. plus chiks got nails.
