Hi Everyone!

Since I started posting a couple of weeks ago, I'm getting some results, but not quite what I want. My bf% is down from 23 to 21.5 - that's good, my legs have grown a half an inch and my pants are tight on my legs now. They fit pretty much the same around my ars! - which is ok, I guess.

My problem is, I've dropped my calorie intake and bf%, but I'm GROWING. That's NOT my goal. I really want to lean out - not grow. Should I just lighten my weights a little bit? I'm actually lifting pretty light right now anyway.

It's hard for me to go from what I've always done in the past, which was always to try to grow - and now stop. I have a mental thing going on already with the light weights - I don't feel like I'm doing much, but my muscle must have memory!!

Any suggestions?
 
You lucky girl , it sounds like you are a "mesomorph" , so even with light lifting you can build muscle.

Have you tried replacing the lifting , with body weight only exercises like :
push-ups , chin-ups , leg lifts , etc. This should maintain your strength , and lengthen the beautiful muscle you already have, like a dancer's body.

I my self used to partake in extensive dance training , and the only exercises we would do were "body weight" only , and dancers always have great bodies with the exception of the "starving" ballerina clan :worried:
 
I was in gymnastics and dance when I was younger. Yep, I'm a meso. I'm holding some estrogenic fat in the astro right now that I want to get rid of!! lol It's always the last place I lose it.
