Hey Guys! (and Spatts)
This is specifically for the Tulsa, Springfield, and KC crews, but was too long to send in a pm, so I will pm all of you specific screen names, etc.
I am getting to the point where I really love to talk about training and whatnot. I am interested in what you guys are doing.
I think it would be really beneficial to all of us if we could join a SECURE Instant Message Client. At the same time it would be nice for any and all of us to hit a private chat room while on. I have figured out how to do this, and I think it would be really cool if you all signed up. It's free, fast, and can be secure if you set it up right (and I'll show you how.)
OK:
Step 1) Download AOL Instant Messenger if you haven't already. This can be done here: http://www.aim.com/index.adp?promo=208886&aolperm=h
Setup from AIM is really easy. Go ahead and set it up and I'll pm you guys my screenname. When you sign up, email, pm, or IM me your screen name.
Step 2) Download Trillian (which is an internet client that combines AOL, MSN, ICQ, IRC, Yahoo, etc. - setup is really easy for that as well - you just put in your username and passwords for the different IM programs you use.

Step 3) MAKE IT SECURE!!!! In AOL IM (AIM) - two of us can talk of 128bit incryption. Here's how:
a) Go to this site and make all your individual IM clients secure:

b)This is the last step. So make sure you have done everything above first. Open trillian and then do this...
1)press the OPTIONS BUTTON that looks like a blue/green circle button that looks like a globe
2)Go to PREFERENCES
3)click on the tab for CHATTING SERVICES->AIM->MISC
4)there are 2 boxes in the SECURE IM area. ALL boxes should be checked.
5)click on APPLY then click OK
That's it - now we can chat one-on-one securely over AOL IM, and we can all get into a chat room there as well for non-secure chat (basically talk about training and whatnot.
