saturated fat...

agreed....especially those trans fatty acids (basically any mixes, processed foods, etc..) I just read an interesting thread on it...I'll look for it and try to find it for you

so the saturated fat in dairy and meats is really bad??
I talk about cheese, eggs and some red meat...

yes all saturated fat is bad you need to limit your intake to around 20-25 g of it a day!! try pb, flax or any food that is low in it!!

on a low carb not exceed 25g??
kinda impossible for me....all well thanks for the help!
should I have yolks with my omlette before bed?

Shiner, what do saturated fats and trans fatty acids have in common besides both being fats? I fail to see the connection. Trans fats should be avoided at all cost so yo are right there. They are bad for you, they can increase body fat, and reduce gains in lbm.

Meathead, you won't find too many dietitians or biologists who'll agree with you on the saturated fat issue. The risks are very overated, and only tend to manifest when eaten with a poor diet.

molnii, eat as much saturated fat as you feel so inclined, just don't forget to add your monounsaturateds and omega 3's.... and eat your veggies every day.
