Right Quad problems -- missed leg workout... too fucked up... explinations?

Ok, so I go in to do legs tonight... I notice my leg is feeling a little "tight" if not downright SORE as I'm walking up the steps to the weight part of the gym....

It's the lateral part of my Quad, down toward my knee... the outside part of my right quad. .. it feels like someone hit it with a sledgehammer or injected 4cc's of fina into that little part of the quad... take your choice.

I go to do a warmup on the bar for front squats, and it feels like my quad muscle is going to rip apart at the seems there. Then, I do 135 for 2 reps... and have to re-rack it... I decided it would be wise to stop and my entire leg was shaking, felt like the muscle was going to blow up and whatever fuck... damnit.

I didn't do any leg workout since LAST FRIDAY... my leg hasn't hurt all week, didn't do anything CRAZY... yet it hurt when I was going into do legs tonight...

It really feels like I have just done 10000 1 legged squats with 300lbs... it's like my leg had "nothing left" in it as my workout started....

Worse yet, I flip my shoulder/tri workout because I am hoping after throwing some icyhot on it tonight and massaging it, it will feel better... but again, worse yet, my shoulder/tri workout tonight was "ok" -- none of my workouts are "ok"-- they are fucking spectacular... My mind was so fucked up on why the hell my leg was fucked.. fuck... just fuck... fuck a fucking fuck...

Maybe you slept wrong?

I once had that problem with my arm. I had a shoulder day, and i woke up that morning with a discomfort, but thought nothing of it. I tried lifting weights later that night and it felt like i lost all strength and did a half-assed job.

Really hope your leg gets better, sucks you missed out on a great leg day.

Just go eat and suck it up now! :D
 
Leg pain

It could be iliotibial band friction syndrome(ITBFS)
It is a lateral knee pain related to irritation and inflammation of the distal portion of the iliotibial band at, or just distal to, the point at which it crosses the lateral femoral epicondyle. Mine gets so tight some of the time it looks like a piano wire beside my leg. When it becomes really tight any movement in your leg becomes painful.. Active release will fix that in one visit.. My 2 cents..

Vigourous beat me to it... I was going to say its your IT band too...
Mine gets kinda tight every once in a while.... Go get some deep tissue massage...should help
 
would that hurt only while squatting or walking up stairs? Walking or jogging doesn't hurt it... it is only the squatting motion...

leg pain 2

Thats somewhat going to be different for everyone, but the more tension you add to it the worse the pains going to be. And your going to put the most tension on your ITB through squats and other activitys that demand pretty good knee flexion. I know mine has always pissed me off the most during squats when its acting up.. Do you do alot of cycling for your cardio?? cause it can cause an ITb shortenin that leads to a tighter ITB.. hope this helps yopu out
