restaurant anxiety!

Saturated fat isn't actually all that bad--your body needs some for hormone production. I eat butter and cream, and I'm cutting. I make my own mayo, too.

Personally, (and I eat out all the time), I try to balance out my eating over a week or so. If I have a heavy carbs day, I lighten up the next day or 2. Some with fats and total calories, but not with protein.

I never order sauce on the side. It's a pain, sometimes the sauce is essential to the dish, and I find I usually eat more when I dip than when I just eat the portion.

If you don't marinate most commerical chicken, it's too dry to grill. With luck it's been marinated in olive oil, which is a healthy fat.

With sandwiches, order whole wheat and then double stack the meat onto one half. Order it dry.

Burt, all this aside, maybe it's just your prose style, but you're coming off as hysterical about food and your body in your posts. I completely understand the need to rant, but honey, ALL your posts have been on the frantic side.

Please tell me that you're just high spirited, cuz being FUAF (f**ked up about food) is a sorry state.
 
I make the best of it. One can only be so anal about eating out. Relax and enjoy a little. You can always find something reasonable on the menu. Besides, I think a little carbing up from time to time might help a few of you.

There are plenty of foods u can eat, if u go out...u can make smart choices and ask to have your food prepared a certain way, i eat out even when dieting, not as often, but there are things u can eat on the menu, just dont be afraid to ask for it prepared a specific way etc.....no need to stress......no biggie:)
