Recommend me a diet...

I just started up on this forum and am looking for a diet to help me cut down. I'm 22, weigh around 200, and am around 5'7" 5'8". Looking to drop down to around 180. Lemme know what other information ya need or a good recommended diet.

BF % would help.
Your routine would help.

Without knowing this, I would recommend adding sprints to your routine. DIET wise, I would start a CKD, there has been alot of people on this site get great results. See the Diet 'sticky' at the top of the page, or go to massmonsters.com and read threads by Mr.X - he is the diet genius/guru.

My BF % I really don't know...my routine currently is 3-4 times a week weight training for about an hour or so. I do cardio about 2 times a week for about half an hour.

Ok on a regular day now I eat either some cereal or oatmeal in the morning, for lunch either turkey sandwich w/ low salt turkey and wheat pita bread, and for dinner chicken breast. Lunch and dinner are sometimes swapped, and might include some rice or some veggies like corn or potatoes...that's about it...used to take whey protien shakes between those but stopped some time ago.

well EllissDee

First it would seem you're not eating frequently enough

- you should shoot for 5-6 smaller meals per day
- a good ratio to follow would be 40/30/30 (p/c/f)
- Don't eat Fats and Carbs in the same meal (max 10g carbs per fat meal and vice versa)
- Cut out the white pitta and processed carbs like the cereal (dunno which you eat but i don't really rate cereal apart from good old oats)
- potatoes are not a great choice, try yams instead
- aain limit the rice, bread and corn, replace with dense salad leafs, spinach, brocolli, green beans etc
- Train hard :)
- Drink LOADS of water a day so you're literally going for a piss every hour or two
- Cardio!

EXACTLY what BFA said...add green tean and some ECA to begin with, IMO

Also, if you're doing moderate intensity cardio, try doing it in the morning when you wake up before you take in any foods. If you're doing HIIT, maybe add a little nourishment in there to keep you moving :mix:
