Apart from powermag and powerlifting USA

are there any mags or books that are recomended in your eyes?

i was thinking about ordering a copy of "Powerlifting Basics, Texas-style"
but wasnt quite sure if it is worth it.

how about the mag MILO??? (in australia milo is a powdered chocolate sugary drink......i think thats pretty funny)

Milo is pretty cool shit to read. You really have to pay attention to what you are reading in there though. Some of the articles are pretty ridiculous -- just about every article Steve Justa writes is pure bs.

I read MILO...love it. Maybe I'll be in there soon? Justa Singles??? Ha ha...I kinda laugh at that guy. I guess that everything will work...for a very short period of time.

I have uploaded 11 chapters of the Max-OT program to www.beleriand.dk

It is an edited version of the original from AST, but I'm sure a lot of people could benefit tremendously from reading especially the warm-up part.

Supertraining??? I borrowed that book and understoon nil of it. I find that you could save yourself a lot and just read the articles on www.elitefitnesssystems.com or buy the west side videos. My opinion.

B fold- I do read the sight and I have the videos- Both are great!

I want to expand my knowledge on the subject at hand- strength training. From what I hear, this is one of the top books on the subject.

Beleriand_K im guessin you work for this AST company.......this is the second time i have posted something and you have reply with the MAX-OT program.......it looks more like a body building program to me. sure they do use low rep ranges...........but it doesnt look like a program for me.

I'D RATHER BE DEADLIFTING: the mastery of hand strength at www.ironmind.com is a great book.
there are so many facets to hand and wrist strength and this book outlines them all.
it also has a good little table that outlines what type of hand strength you need for certain jobs, sports
i recomend it (man now it sounds like i work for the ironmind company.......i wish that i did)

Man i wish i could get my hands on some westside vids.

maybe for christmas.

i have to buy a new video player that can play american vids.......i emailed dave tate and they dont make australian compatable vids.

that and the fact after the money conversion i will have have to sell my first born son (when i have one)

im sure they are worth every dollar though

Endpoint>No, I don't work for AST. And no, it's not a body building program. I'm sure it can be used by body builders, but it works just as well for power lifters as my self.

The reason I keep recommending it is, that I'm currently using it myself. And as I'm very satisfied with the results I would like to share my positive experience with it with the rest of you. Especially the warm-up part, which has reduced my frequency on injuries considerably.

So I'm not trying to promote my own product (I live on the other side of the globe from AST, and write about the stockmarket for a living!). I'm just trying to do my bit of helping out by sharing what I've got. I thought that was what this board was all about. But offcourse, I might be mistaken...
