rack pulls (just below knee height):
135x8
185x3
225x3
275x1
315x1
335x1
345x1
355x1
365xmiss (twice)
the last 3 were all PRs, up from my previous PR of 315. 365 lifted up just enough to rattle on the pins. it's mine, next time. on those last 3 pulls, i did 3 things in particular which may have helped:
1)i decided to take off my sneakers and pull barefoot, because my feet were getting sweaty in my shoes (no socks). barefoot felt nice and solid. thanks to walkingbeast for recommending a change in footwear. even though i didn't use chucks, going barefoot is an improvement.
2)at the starting position, i leaned back ever so slightly, so that my shoulders were behind the bar and i could pull into my body (and not just straight up).
3)i tightened my hips, hams, and glutes, making a special effort to get bar off the pins using these muscles more than i have in the past.
barbell rows:
barx10
115x6
135x6
155x6
165x3
