Damn I never was much into racing sims but it looks pretty tight. It'll apparently maintain a 1080p output @ 60fps in stereoscopic 3D too, which is insane for a console game.

I'll be sticking with 2D mode for the long time being if I get it though lol.

Due out November 2nd.

shit that does look tight. What sort of kit do you need to get the full experience?

There are plenty of options, but I myself was considering the DF:GT to start with since I am a wheel noob. It's more or less considered the "official" GT wheel.

The next steps up are the G25 with paddle shifters and G27 with an added clutch pedal. GT5 has clutch support but since the game's not even done yet it's debatable how well implemented it will be over auto-clutch.

Then there are the playseats. A lot of peeps custom-make their own, but companies like Logitech have nice ones too.
Be the driver, become the pilot.

The sky's the limit on how crazy you wanna get.

As far as visuals, a PS3, 5/7.1 sound system and an HDTV with 720p or (preferrably) 1080p support will do, but obviously one with stereoscopic 3D support will raise the immersion factor. What sucks is you still need to wear the glasses, which have been known to cause discomfort/nausea to some over extended useage. I myself would rather wait until they make TV's without the need for glasses. But if you can't wait for that I've heard the 3D support is still pretty damn impressive when playing the game.

Here's some GT5 eyecandy-

There is an in-game photo mode with 18 Megapixel output.

Basically GT5 is highly polished car porn lol.

do they have honda civic ex coupe with leather in this game?

There's a good chance it will since there's supposedly over a thousand cars in the final game.

granturismo 1 changed my life. lol i was just a wee lad, and would tell my mom what modifications i did to my virtual cars at dinner. bless her heart for sounding interested

Jesus mother of pearl that guy is a horrible driver. He wouldn't know a racing line if it crawled out from under his chair and bit him in the face. Never once did he enter a turn correctly, he couldn't find an apex. What a feeb.

Game looks great.

11 minutes? Sabine Schmitz did a faster lap than that in a Ford Transit Van.
